Job Description:

1.      Effectively answer phones, schedule reservations, answer questions, handle to-go orders and arrange special guest requests.

2.      Create positive first impressions of restaurant by promptly and warmly welcoming guests with a smile.

3.      Managing restaurant waiting list during high volume times to accurately set guest expectations

4.      Courteously indicate where guests can wait until their table is ready and communicate with guests about and during wait times.

5.      Offer beverages to guests in waiting area.

6.      Properly rotate seating in server sections.

7.      Courteously escort guests to their seat and provide menus.

8.      Assists servers with water and beverage refills, bussing, setting tables, making change and processing payments.

9.      Say “good-bye†and “thank-you†to every guest as they leave

Requirements:

1.      Must be at least 18 years of age

2.      High School diploma or GED

3.      Customer service, retail sales, team environment or food service experience preferred

4.      Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner

5.      Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers in English

6.      Be groomed and dressed to uniform standards each shift.

7.      Possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with guests.

8.      Work well with other restaurant employees to present an enjoyable dining experience to guests.

9.      Be able to bend, twist, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.

10.   Have outstanding and effective table management skills to maximize seating.

11.   Be organized and comfortable with multi-tasking during busy meal times and long lines.

12.   Is able to obtain valid food handler’s card and OLCC permit

13.   Able to arrive to work on time, ready to start a scheduled shift

14.   Displays a basic knowledge of restaurant operation

15.   Displays a friendly, professional, and helpful attitude towards coworkers and management at all times

16.   Demonstrates good time management skills by completing all tasks in a timely manner

17.   Must be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

18.   Consistently arrives to work as scheduled, prepared to assume shift responsibilities

19.   Consistently arrives to work well groomed and in proper uniform

20.   Answers all phone calls in a professional, timely manner

21.   Demonstrates strong knowledge of menu, including featured items and soups

22.   Takes to go orders accurately

23.   Ensures all to-go orders are complete before handing to guest

24.   Has strong working knowledge of dining room and seating

25.   Complies with, and supports, all policies and procedures in the employee handbook and the departmental training manual

26.   Willingly, and with a positive attitude, follows direction of all management, including additional requests for sidework, cleaning, etc.

27.   Ability to use Point of Sale Computer System.

28.   Work with schedules based around busy meal times, holidays, events and weekends
